Air Filtration and Management Solutions
GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS
Gas monitoring is an essential for maintaining a life supporting atmosphere within the shelter. During the stay, occupants consume oxygen and expire carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) as part of their normal respiration. CO can also enter the chamber during occupant entry and if the compressed air intake is compromised. Closely monitoring gas levels in the shelter allows occupants to take corrective actions to maintain a safe and inhabitable environment.
Gas Monitoring System, designed specifically for use in shelters, safe rooms and safe havens and by operating personnel.
Oxygen (O2) and Air Supply and Management Systems for Shelters
Atmas offer different solutions for oxygen and air supply as well as monitoring and control of safe levels of gases in the air.
In shelters designed for operation in complete isolation from external environment (lock up mode) for longer periods of time air regeneration systems must be installed to maintain the safe levels of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Oxygen(O2), as well as keep the overpressure (positive pressure) inside the shelter (pressurized shelter) which prevents from contaminated air entering the shelter. Atmas offer different solutions for oxygen and air supply as well as monitoring and control of safe levels of gases in the air.
CBRN / NBC Filtration Systems for Shelters and Protected Facilities
Atmas offers a wide selection of standard and customizable CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) / NBC air filtration and emergency ventilation systems designed for installation in protected spaces like safe rooms, civil defence shelters, bunkers, containers and facilities for providing fresh filtered air for safe breathing, maintaining of overpressure and creation of protected environment in the intended area.
CBRN / NBC Filters for Shelters and Protected Facilities
Atmas offers a wide range of filters designed for a specific or a wide spectrum of purposes like filtering the air nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) materials and particles, toxic industrial chemicals (TIC), dust and more. AFU series includes a wide range of filters which comply with technical requirements of different international civil defence standards.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Filters for Air Scrubbers
AFU CO2 family of carbon dioxide replaceable filters based on soda lime or chemical absorbents which capture the carbon dioxide up to capacity declared. The filters can be changes when their absorption capacity is reduced. This can be monitored by CO2 detectors.
The ARC CO2 includes various carbon dioxide filters which can be installed as part of air filtration units, air regeneration systems and scrubbers in shelters and protected areas as well as other industrial applications.

Ventilation Blowers for Shelters and Protected Facilities
Atmas offers a wide selection of tested and certified electric blowers for small and large ventilation and filtration systems.
Blower are part of ventilation and CBRN, CO2, CO air filtration system in various protective applications like shelters, bunkers, safe rooms and other protected spaces, as well as various industrial facilities.

Wall Sleeves and Retrofit Flanges
Wall sleeves are specially designed pipes with flanges which can be used to install valves or ducting to the walls. Arconik supplies variety of sleeves specially designed as per applications (internal walls/external walls) and approved as per different standards ranging from 4″ diameter to 32” diameter accommodating different thicknesses of walls. The wall sleeves are commonly installed at the early stage of rebaring and the concrete is casted on to make them a rigid and strong part of the wall.
BVNO Blast Valves - Automatic Normally Open Double-Action Valves
Blast valves are normally open valves which allow movement of air in regular operation and provide automatic closing action in case of incoming blast wave. The valves are designed for installation on ventilation openings or as part of the duct for protection of ventilation ways and internal spaces against destructive blast wave effects.
BVNO series of blast valves was developed by Arconik for use in civil defence shelters, bunkers, safe rooms and other protected spaces.
Blast Dampers for Protected Facilities and Industry
Blast dampers are used in ventilation systems to prevent the blast wave through external walls into the building. They are designed with high ventilation capacity. The dampers can protect people and equipment from explosions or momentary pressure change (e.g. tornadoes, etc.). When an explosion occurs, the valve will close instantly under the action of the shock wave; when the shock wave disappears, the valve will be automatically restored. They are mainly used in refineries, oil & gas, nuclear power plants and some other facilities which are at risk of explosions. They are installed on the air openings (air inlet and air outlet) of the facilities.
Overpressure Valves - Normally Closed Valves
BVNC overpressure valves are normally closed valves designed to maintain or control the differential pressure level in the shelter by releasing the air from the gastight shelter while offering providing protection from external blast wave pressure.
Shut-off Gastight Valves for Shelters and Industrial Applications
GK gastight valves with double eccentric axle design, are airflow regulation valves designed for installation on the air ducts of ventilation systems of shelters and protective structures. The valves are commonly used as shut-off devices to stop or control the airflow and protect the inner space. The special design allow high pressure loads and long-life of the valve with minimal maintenance.
